The test was conducted by a independent person with a disability. The person used the Rex Talking Medicine Bottle and Recorder Kit to record the name of meds and the instructions for 4 different medications for a blind woman living along. She told us that, \"I had no trouble recording the instructions, and my client could hear the pill bottle and carry out instructions. I am no longer afraid to leave my client along to take her meds.\" I wish all persons with sight problems and learning disabled people could have this Talking Med Bottle.\"

The Product
The Rex Disposable Talking Medication Bottle verbally identifies bottle contents and educates people about how to properly use their medication. Application of the bottle is not limited to persons who are visually impaired, but is also ideally suited for people with cognitive disorders, reading difficulties, and for those whose language differences can make accurate comprehension of medication instructions problematic
How It Works
Microelectronic technology is embedded in the base of each bottle. A special bottle recorder microphone allows the user to record the medication use information directly into the bottle. The “built-in-the-bottle” technology permits only the user to record or change the prescription information. To playback the recorded information, users simply press a button on the side of the bottle and listen to the message.
