The Rex Disposable Talking Medication Bottle verbally identifies bottle contents and educates people about how to properly use their medication. Application of the bottle is not limited to persons who are visually impaired, but is also ideally suited for people with cognitive disorders, reading difficulties, and for those whose language differences can make accurate comprehension of medication instructions problematic

How It Works

Microelectronic technology is embedded in the base of each bottle. A special bottle recorder microphone allows the user to record the medication use information directly into the bottle. The “built-in-the-bottle” technology permits only the user to record or change the prescription information. To playback the recorded information, users simply press a button on the side of the bottle and listen to the message.

The Refill Kit contains three additional bottles that are used in conjunction with the recorder included with the Rex Starter Kit.

The recorded message is easily played back by pressing and holding a button on the base of the bottle. Rex benefits not only those who are visually impaired, but also those with cognitive disorders or reading difficulties. Fitted with a safety cap, Rex - The Talking Medication Bottle is completely disposable when the medication is completed, avoiding cross contamination possibilities. Each bottle is powered by a battery with a life of about six months, encased in the base of the bottle.
